For me it's a nine inch angle grinder..just don't like them...and a skill saw.don't like them .I have respect for all power tools but they are only as dangerous as the operator.

Mine is a big square thing, they might call it a mowing head, it spins for a good minute when I let go of the trigger and obviously stores up a lot of energy. Hopefully it would drop downward and loose momentum quickly before cutting both my legs off :-)
So much so that I don't really use it and I hadn't really thought of it before but I guess that means its a tool that scares me enough to not use it. Never thought that would be the case......
Another one with one of those 80's 9" makita's. I save it for really tough jobs but don't enjoy using it, it has masses of torque reaction and takes ages to spin down too. I have lots of other things that are scary if used wrong so treat them with respect.
The thing I had that really scared me was a bostitch industrial nail gun. It was so big it was almost a double handed hold, and it could fire in 3" ringed nails into hardwood. The nails if they met something metal or extra hard used to fold into a U on the way in and fire back out at you. I had a cut on my head right up the side of my forehead once where a nail did that and *zing* noises were common when using it on oak. When the seals blew, I didnt fix it.
The only other thing is the cnc mill, when I put a new part design on it, I'm there like a expectant mother with my hand over the e-stop as my cam processor occasionally does stupid things. So the first run through is always with that "I'm about to be in a car crash situation" until it finishes.

My thirty thousand RPM toolpost grinder. No guard, large old wheel, what could possibly go wrong?
I have since fitted guards and will be using much smaller diameter wheels. I didn't want to go anywhere near that one, certainly wouldn't be hovering over it face first...

I have an old Bosch 9" straight grinder no soft start and a horribly awquard to operate switch. It only gets used as a last resort, its pure evil.

Now fully refurbished with a speed controller and at least a belt guard.
I probably shouldn't test it until I have found some smaller diameter wheels to play with. It's pretty scary being in the same room with that thing going flat out...

I'd happily use that without a belt guard, its the unguarded od grindstone bursting that puts the willies up me about that setup!

It will haunt me for a while I think. The chap greasing the pin holes had me literally cringing as you could see the outcome straight away

I dislike using the DeWalt grinder at work with its diamond blade for cutting concrete - the speed at which it effortlessly cuts through concrete is scary. That and spindle moulders, though I've never used one my cousin does and knows three people who tried to climb cut on them and lost at least two fingers when the machine went over a knot.

Yes I stopped watching at that point! The grinder one was a good tip, had a near miss with the wire wheel the other day like that, sent a part through the cowling and then shooting across the room - I was a bit shocked to say the least
