so buy a smalish toolbox and fill it up instead

it dosnt need to be a large tool box only enough size to put some bits i the top and a good amount of tools inside of it

i have one and i know @Burdekin has 2 of them so handy when needed

I have had a wera Christmas calendar for the last 5 years running. A new mini tool roll kit each time - they are brilliant. All slightly different but each very useful dotted around and very good quality.

it has a set of screwdrivers in it
a clawhammer
stanley knife
2 adjustable spanners
allen keys

screws in plastic compartments in top
i have this which also stores house fuses in it as well

IKEA tool sets are quite handy in the house

I keep basic tools in one of these from Ikea:




It cost a tenner, lives under the bench in the utility room and holds all my "everday" tools. For more advanced DIY jobs, the 28lb hammer and 1" crowbar are in the mancave .

travelling soap bag, or football boot bag.. usually have multiple pockets..
I travelled with KLM for so long, you have to get used to being delayed, and getting a overnight kit every time. I had so many of them lying around, we started using them for storage of fragile stuff, multimeters etc. theres one in the kitchen full of handy little tools etc to save me a hike out to the workshop. wife has claimed it as hers now....

I do like those, but my every day tool kit became so cumbersome i use a roll behind tool box with a top case with my test kit in

Only got three draws in the kitchen. Top one is cutlery, Middle is sweet treats, bottom is for savoury treats

Plus I have a dedicated proper mini tool bag for camping

Drawers? Luxury! I keep all my kitchen needs in an old cornflake box under the sofa...
OK, that may be a slight exaggeration... but some friends of mine do have a kitchen 'island' that is bigger than my kitchen.
