If you're not used to working in London then be very aware that that are out to get you! I don't mean the criminals I mean the local authorities!!!
Watch the parking very carefully, you'll be lucky to get a parking bay for the day, most are 2 or 4 hours only and you can't feed the meters you have to keep moving and find a space in another zone. They will ticket you if you feed the meter!
Be careful what side of the parking bay lines you park on, the wrong side of often very worn out painted lines will have you on a residents only parking bay instead of the pay and display one! I got a ticket and clamped once for that little mistake. Bastard's!
Watch out for road where no commercial vehicles are allowed., Regents Park area etc. Watch out for roads that are restricted for commercial vehicles at certain times of day, again I've got done for driving down a side road before 9.30am!
Watch out for the ridiculous 20mph limits popping up everywhere, yes they do have cameras on them now!!!
Most of the above 'traps' are hard to spot as the signage is poorly positioned at junctions high up on posts just where you're looking around trying not to crash into something usually a poxy cyclist jumping a red light or undertaking you! Watch out for Uber and Addison Lee cab numptys as their driving licenses seem to be from another planet let alone country.....
Have I put you off yet?
Oh and don't forget the conjestion charge and the ULEZ!
I have no issue with second homes if they are used, one of our neighbours is a weekender, but its every weekend, friday till Monday. The really irritating ones are the ones that stand empty 50 weeks a year. But do understand how it makes it so difficult for the younger folk in a nice rural area to get on the property ladder.I will not start on the holiday home for rich people debate as i will probably have an anurisim
I live half an hour away. I've driven through twice and around a few more timesAs for the London place, doubt I shall ever go there again. Though I did go close recently got as far south as York

I’m looking at installing drawers in the L200. 2 Van Vault sliders will fit nice but cost £350 each, not bothered about security as I empty it out every night so will probably just get wooden ones
Could make them from stockboard not much more than ply and won't deteriorate
Just remembered the company allybacks do a variety of toolboxes and often have ex display or discounted stuff on eBay

After a week on holiday then on off ill I finally took some pictures
I just have a Halfords advanced box and apart from a few extras like snapon 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 fine tooth ratchets and a breaker bar this is my normal day kit
I have another box with my panel beating set in and the rest is at home
Other than grinders and drill at work I don’t really need anything else

that’s ok as long as everyone else brings all the parts and specialist tooling.
Parts are delivered to us
When we go to a circuit all I take is a copper mallet for the knock offs, my 3/8 breaker bar and 3/8 fine tooth
We have a general roll cab but you can’t trust joe public as things develop legs and walk off or are borrowed to never be returned from some one ‘next door’
@Robbie260 What these "daarn souf"ers haven't twigged yet is there's much less chance (so far) up here of getting your stuff half-inched than in the cities further South.
Dont know anyone whos had thier van ripped off up my way.
