Hi, was thinking of getting this toolpost for my m300, any opinions on it? Good or bad

Mine came with a Dickson T1/S1 size and I have stuck with that.

I don't know what size that is, I have an A on my Harrison 140 and it's a little small. An E size would be better.
B would be on the verge of too big but you'd get away with one.

I bought direct from Create Tool in China who make the toolposts and they then get rebranded. Saying that those Chronos ones are too cheap to be Create and there's a few differences. Must be another brand.

The Chronos one is somewhat confusing on the dimensions. The holders are labelled, e.g. 540-115, 540-122 but there is no corresponding entry in the table of dimensions. Maybe they are 540-1xx series.

I used a 250/200 Series on my Harrison 140, scrapped 11 years ago. Now its on the M300, anything smaller you wont get decent size tools and or reach tool height. In fact still have to open the tool holders up to get anything decent in.

Harrison supplied Dickson toolposts as T2 accordng to Chronos and feel they are too small so sold mine.

The Multifix linked to will be too small as well need next size up. Check the max height it can go to get cutter on centre its only 40.5mm from top slide base (look at Max X). You need 40.72mm to get cutters on centre with an M300. Labelled 540-100
