I had to do a head gasket, on a Deutz engine, the other day. The valve clearances, were set, by tightening adjusting ,screw until rocker lever, touched valve, then turning back by 90* and 140* , for inlet and outlet. All I had to use, was one of these . Got it to work, but wasn't ideal. Does anyone know of a better tool to use?
Due to shape of valve caps, you can't just set one, then use a feeler gauge , to get the clearance. It also means, that you cannot , just check clearances, you have to reset them.
Thanks guys
