Tool / Equipment Insurance - Reccomendations?

Just wondered if you guys insure your tools and equipment and if you had any reccomendations of decent insurance companies?

Found a few places that offer cover for hand tools but really looking for something that will cover my TIG plant and my tool box.

i looked into this recently.

that place is top of a google search. i had a quote with them and they only insure up to 5k which is no good to me. my tool box is nearly that empty.

snap on were doing it back last year. but it was only a pilot scheme (sp?) skeem? sceeme?

dont know if they put it into action.

ive been thinking this also , my tools are covered at work but i now have my own workshop i rent at home and should really get some cover for my tools and equiptment i have in there

I investigated this a while ago and found a company offering insurance for Model engineers - Walker Midgley. Click on the Individual Modellers & Model Engineers Insurance link.

When I spoke to them, and explained what I wanted, they were happy to cover my workshop under this scheme, although I would loosely describe myself as a model engineer, it is not my primary activity!

Might well be worth an ask...
