They also have a power washer of 2.500watts for 99quid. It is Italian and I have had the slightly less powerful model for over two years and God knows how many roofs I`ve powerwashed with it. Some of the Karcher stuff is made in Italy.

I once had a pal of mine round for supper. He was telling me how only scuffers shop at Lidl, so I took the pork pie he was eating out of his hand and chucked it in the bin. "You won't be wanting that then, will you?"

Drove to italy once on a sun week for a tenner holiday from here in france, and what did we do when we were there? Visit the fiac factory and get a load of compressor spares? smuggle some of the ferrari engines out the museum under me jumper? (although we did go to the factory museam in maranello). No, we ended up going to the bloody lidl's near the campsite.
We made the journey home from italy to france with the back of the mondeo loaded up with bottles of gin for wife and mother in law, as they were 3e a bottle cheaper there...

Can`t beat the pressure washer for that price. Tools don`t interchange with Karcher though........although there is always a way. I have a bundle of Karcher tools including the sand blast kit which is pretty good.

Lavor is good . They make a big hot wash model too. Those are the biz.......but I can`t get them up on the roofs lol

We could do with a new pressure washer - our old cheepie must have frosted up and it leaks a lot now.

Do you reckon the sand blast kits would be handy for getting a chassis back to bare metal? What sort of prices for that sort of thing?

We were having the debate about cheap tools the other day at work. We have Lidl at the bottom of our carpark, a builders merchant (with an excessive tools department) on the other side of the car park, Screw fix over the road and Proper Job only a short hop away. It really comes down to usage as to whether a cheap tool is a good buy. If your only going to use it once or twice why buy an expensive one?

Incidentally has anyone used any of the Hilka core drills? I've got to drill two 115mm holes through the cavity for a tumble drier and cooker hood, If they can manage thar then that'll do nicely for 20% of the price of an Armeg.

I have, I presume you mean the carbide grit tipped ones? As long as you go slowly and try to keep them cool and only use them on brick then you should be fine.

It`s handy for doing a job like a wheel or summat. It won`t get the hardest of paint off but is a stage better than the dirt blaster nozzle. About £40 quid for a Karcher one. You must use Kiln dried sand as it wont pick up damp or sharp sand. Try to borrow one first.

I assumed it might have been someone who, as it were, scuffs along the floor in their carpet slippers. A coffin dodger, or as a nurse friend of mine used to refer to the old folks in the care home where he worked, a biff.

Well, at 6"4 and 25 stone, he takes some feeding. I save the nice food 'til he's gone....
