Tom senior milling machine

Just bagged this beauty today.

Unfortunately it didn't have the vertical nuckel head with it.

But it is in lovely condition and I can either sorce a vertical nuckel head or adapt a head with quill from something else

I am looking for information on what phase converter would best suit it.

As it's not a massive motor. I was thinking along the lines of a frequency converter.

Are they any good

Can you plz tell me what the name is for the tapper .

so if I wanted a holder for collets, maybe 32s

is it a No 30 international tapper????

It could be either; MT3, or Int30. There could be more? The LV I have is MT2, so I've currently atleast three.

The vertical head, for the M1 have is MT2

Thats as much as I can say on that subject.

Are you looking at using end mills?

If so I'd be inclined to use a Clarkeson Auto lock or similar, as it has less Stack height. If its MT3 you could use collets, that would get even more working space

Tbh this is my first proper mill.
I don't know what direction ill take with it or what milling style will suit me.
