Pretty worrying the extent of the flooding, going to have a massive effect at a national level on farming, housing, trade, infrastructure etc. for at least a year.
Is dredging going to be enough? I think the affected areas will end up a little like Holland with the pump mills, in a decade or two, would be very picturesque though.

Couple of years ago it was long term droughts, next cold winters forecasted. Up next floods and mild winters.

So scientists and weather experts have now gone for the easy option and gone with the anything could happen - that way you are never wrong.

It's climate change though climate always changes so you can get out of anything with the right words.
