Yeah I do. It's definitely at the easy end of MIG welding action, nice thick metal, two short beads, not holding anything structural, purely to stop rotation and no distortion to worry about.

No because you keep the beads even and opposite as much as possible, and each weld tends to be about 15mm long. The main thing is that the pins are 30 mm dia so the bead centre line is 15 mm from the centre point of the crank which has an overall dia of 120 - 150 mm (Kawasaki or Suzuki) and weighs 15 - 18 Kg.

Handily the crank component weight tolerances were very good from the factory. So as long as the webs, pins and rods are weight matched before assembly, and then it's tru'd properly then they're very well balanced.

Making up a sub-harness, in this case TCI to pickup coils, sometimes means preserving the original plugs.

Keep the wires together with Kapton tape, de-pin the plugs, fit the braid sleeve with heat shrink collars, crimp the new terminals, fit the plugs and heat the collars.

Were you muttering one of prince Phillips famous quotes "looks like it was installed by Indian electricians"

I didn't mind working with high AWG Harting or BICC pins as they were round crimps.

A different sort of Indian, although the quality of the electrical system is similar.

The fiddly work in question, Indian Scout indicator wires from the sealed unit got chomped by the tyre. Tiny barrel crimps to fit new 24 AWG wires, and equally tiny pins to crimp for the new connector.
