A tractor? Wow, that looks extremely clean. I thought it was a dental surgery when first saw it.View attachment 534585
I fitted a new seat to the tractor. What a miserable job! 50-odd, awkward kilos that will only go out and in via the back window (which is nearly six feet off the ground). Normal approach is to use a forklift at the back of the tractor; however, my only forks are on the very tractor to which the new seat is being fitted. Ended up erecting scaffolding at the back of the tractor, with a "bridge" to the window.
Had to fabricate a new mounting for the multi-function armrest as the design has changed.
Feel very grand though now in my super-dooper new seat!
Thank you. You have made me happy. I am fastidious almost to the point of being mental. My wife jokes that I am the only farmer who is allergic to dirt...A tractor? Wow, that looks extremely clean. I thought it was a dental surgery when first saw it.

You're a man after my own heart, @northwest .I picked my sister up at the station last Friday and she said "wow, how do you keep a white car looking so clean and shiny?" We didn't speak for thirty years, long story, anyhow one of my sons who was with us said, "you don't know dad, he will have a full valet kit in the boot" and I do actually, I cannot see my way clear to driving around in a shed, even my old van was kitted out to the max. I was very sorry to see the end of that van, still Pi$$es me off when I think about it.
During Covid lockdown, we had a hosepipe ban. Sometime before that ban came in was the last time I washed any of my cars.I picked my sister up at the station last Friday and she said "wow, how do you keep a white car looking so clean and shiny?" I'd love to be like that.During Covid lockdown, we had a hosepipe ban. Sometime before that ban came in was the last time I washed any of my cars.
I wash the glass, the lights, plates if needed. The rest . . . it rains . . .
Was it silver by any chance?I owned my rover 600 for 16 years. A great car, ended by the ULEZ. I washed it twice during my ownership. Always looked great.
Stops me seeing the micro-blistering that appeared on my Lancia after a period in a Carcoon.I'd love to be like that.

Drove my boss's from Bradford to Aachen in Germany, via a quick stop over at the NEC - arrived in the early hours in Aachen - climbed out, realised I wasn't stiff, no bad back, not deaf. Similar drive back, but with four new tyres for my Lancia, the rest of the space in the footwells and boot filled with beer and whisky - it was cheaper in Germany - looked lowered.I owned my rover 600 for 16 years. I envy your Zen, @bricol .Stops me seeing the micro-blistering that appeared on my Lancia after a period in a Carcoon.
Someone misheard me at work once - thought I'd split from my other half at the time as she'd washed my Peugeot 106 - they knew I'd not washed it since I bought it last century
I am working up to washing something, at some point, maybe this year
Mechanically they are all fine, the undersides are all good, no rust appearing anywhere.
