Well, it's coming thick and fast now.

Most of you have probably heard of Hitchcocks the Royal Enfield dealer?

A customer just rang who'd called them as he has a 1999 Bullet with an electrical fault, and was told that they no longer do service, repairs, or electrical work. Guess who's number they're giving people with the comment "Only bloke round here we know of that knows what he's doing? It's a little embarrassing and also rather flattering TBH.

Anyone want a job?

You can't beat that kind of recommendation. Take it as the compliment that it most definitely is.

I just popped over to see if Simon over the road about it (for a gossip ) as he does work for them, big bore kits and the like. He said that they've closed their small engineering shop for the same reason, the only bloke that could use the lathe & mill left.

Maybe it was Simon that put your name in the frame with Hitchcock's.

Sadly that storey is all to familiar……I know so called mechanical technicians who think its someone else's job to use a lathe or mill, and thats for simple stuff…nowt complex

Very true, although in my case it normally is...
