I've got one of that exact bead roller, they are much better with some modifications out the box as the dies/gears are only allen screwed to the shafts and not into flats or features, just onto the round shaft so slip when you start to do thicker stuff or just when they feel like it really.
On mine the clearance fit on the shaft to the frame (theres no bushes there) was bad too, so I made some bronze bushes up and I machined the bit where the dies go on too as they weren't concentric to the shafts and sleeved them back to original size too.
If you have a lathe, its easy to make up new dies to tip and other useful things.
I've since motorized mine with a foot pedal connected to the electronics/motor out of a exercise wobble board which makes it a 1 person job to use and gives you more control rather than 2.
For the money, its a great starting point for a decent tool.
Thanks for that, I don't have a lathe but likely will at some point in the distant future.
For the slipping issue I could maby drill a hole on the shaft for the Allen grub screw to get a proper bite. I'll see how it goes I do have a step to form in the cill ends which will be substantially better quality and faster done with one of these.
