I recently brought the above, costing over £150.
The abrasive blade that came with the chopsaw says it buts steel but doesn’t even touch 20mm mild steel square tube. However my 115mm angle grinder abrasive blade cuts steel without issue.
Hence I brought the Evolution multipurpose blade that claims to easily cut over 6mm thigh steel.
It cuts the 20mm mild steel square tube which has walls of 2mm but unfortunately even single cut gets blunter and blunter and the cut finish becomes worse.
It’s only a matter of time until it’s completely blunt. Pretty disappointed really.
Can anyone else recommend what to use to cut mild steel, I don’t have the space or budget for a baileigh bandsaw
