Time to upgrade my sealey super 180.

Hi all , same old story been lurking in the forum's for ever and have learnt so much about welding!
So I bought a sealey supermig 180 and got spray g pidgeon poop everywhere untill thinks looked a bit better.
So I'm trying to restore a classic mini and I'm struggling if I'm honest also my little baby girl has arrived so time on the mini has been affected a tiny bit...my wife says she can't come out in the garage yet. Spool sport.
Basically I'm after a quality mig welder that I don't have to spend half an hour messing with the get it okay I just want to get out fire it up weld for and hour or so and have a nice smooth weld.
I have managed to save up birthday and Christmas money and I'm looking to buy a quality machine that maybe in the future I can do body work as a side line, if I get good enough.
So I'm looking at the Oxford 240 or portable mig... I see now the 2016 portamigs have capacitors and a beefed up wire feed.
Nightmare... also thinking of a 5m torch so can keep the welder st the back of my single garage and then fingers crossed I can get to it all.....

I'm not sure if that "spool sport" was an intentional MIG welding pun but if it was it was a good one.

You'll not go wrong with either an Oxford or a PortaMIG. The 240-1 is a very nice machine that's capable of thin stuff and heavier stuff too, kind of smack bang where most users would want it.

5M torch may be an issue as you may experience some wire feeding issues as a result of the 2 roll wire feeder.

Have you considered inverter MIG's? Can get a Jasic MIG 200 Compact for the same price which would do exactly what you'd need but you could pick it up and carry it around without a second thought.

Yeh kinda hoped the "spool" would get noticed. Haha. I must admit that I am tempted by the inverters but as the garage isn't exactly central heated and although my best efforts to keep it from knocks I will get a few dings and I would be far more comfortable with something more....well bullet proof as I have read the Oxfords/portamigs are.
Honestly now portamig have put capacitors and rhetoric ire feed I'm stuffed or are the Oxfords still smoother and better??
Okay would I be able to get the Oxford with a 4 roll wire feed "upgrade" or we talking silly money.

I've not welded with a portamig so I ain't going to lie to you and give you a biased opinion.

I'm afraid the case for the MIG Maker 240-1 is too small for a upgrade to a 4 roll feeder but the 2 roll is powered by a very nice powerful motor.
