Time for TIG

New to TIG. Im wanting for stainless exhausts mainley. However I want the option to weld all other metals if required. Buy once and all that!

I've been looking at the miller dynasty . But after looking on this forum the lorch t220 is looking good. Is the lorch worth the extra money?

Miller dynasty you won't go wrong

Both those machines are of the (best money can buy) variety.
I have personally used the lorch and found it a dream to use. I've got friends and colleagues that own and have used the miller which again is excellent.
I would say between those and others i could name in the same bracket you will get a lovely machine.
I'd suggest you demo a few and decide that way because that sort of question on here could get a lot of different suggestions and you'll be no further forward.
Id chose EWM 2300 torrex
But that's just me.

EWM model is Tetrix isn't it ? Anything in the price range you are looking at will do the job. Try a few out if you get chance, some have little features like smart tack which could be handy for you and different control panels might be more suited to your application. A friend of mine has the Dynasty in a factory and it has been used hard for a few years now and no problems.

Drop chevy2 a pm mate, he has a dynasty 200, I've used it and I've used a lorch, both are topend machines but the Miller has the edge in my opinion, a bit like comparing a Granada & a Jag, both nice motors but the Jag will always be nicer.

Firstly, I have no experience of the Lorch so this is a biased post.

I bought my Dynasty (200) second hand from Miller UK through my local welding rep.
It had been on loan for a year to a local collage but still had 2 years guarantee to run.
That was 7 years ago so that makes it 8 years old. It's never had the case screws undone.

I bought my Dynasty 200dx nearly 2 years ago,
Its a great machine, does everything i need on all materials,

Most of the stuff i do with mine is hotrod/racecar related so it should fit your needs perfectly,

For the record i have no plans to upgrade it anytime soon.

Hi Richym if it's in the condition it appears to be is a top notch deal mate. I've welded with onde of those and it's amazing on aluminium. If you can get the original kemppi torch it's so light and doens't get you tired after a whole day welding and only gets a little bit warm. The arc is just perfect. In my opinion you can'te go wrong with a mastertig MLS especially this one complete with cooler and beeing the 400 AMP model. Also if you use it for stick you will move it, I used one exactly like this one for a pipe certification test a few weeks agora, TIG root and and 7018 fill and cap.

There is a 350 amp acdc murex(stel) on there with water cooler going cheaper. That would be my choice.

eBay DE there is a magic wave 2200 going for £2700 mark.
In my opinion this comes above the dynasty on my short list.
