Tiling new concrete.

Had a conservatory built the, concrete floor is nearly dry now, its about 100cm deep on visqueen still a bit damp along the outermost walls.
Hoping to tile it soon.
Any tips, should I prime it with anything SBR ect?
It's about 5 ×3mts.

and just because it dry on top does not mean the water has gone from the inside

From memory concrete takes about 28 days to go off properly

I've got a dehumidifier going and can heater fan going, but it's a big space , just been plastered the walls and insulation got a bit wet after the brickie finished while waiting for the conny, the missus says that these conservatory companies say you can be in it in a month.... she'll be under it soon..

Erm i wouldn't dry it out to much to quick,depending on conditions 4-6 weeks be your minimum got to remember,its winter things take longer to dry out esp floors etc

Cheers,yes I was wondering about that, it's not an industrial dehumidifier, and the small heater fan only went in today,(because the dehumidifier decided to thaw out all over the floor),it has been very cold and a lot of condensation, but I know what you're saying..

Looking a late spring early summer then IMHO,get yourself a cheap damp meter and keep checking its drying out progress as the weeks go by,sounds silly but it helps to leave some windows(if fitted?) open on mild days to let the moisture escape

I'm pretty sure that all the good ones are SBR based but there are hundreds of different products that essentially do the same job. If you go on a DIY forum you'll get a hundred different answers to this question!
I would just buy some decent tiling primer, bal, Weber etc... and follow the instructions. As for time about 30 days should be ok for the concrete to dry out to tile on, maybe an extra week or two due to the cold but 200 days seems a bit excessive!
I can't imagine a customer's reaction if I'd finished a kitchen extension then told them I'd be back in 7 months to tile the floor!!

Once full dry I would use a high quality self leveling screed before even considering tiles personally

I'm glad I asked, I've been reading the comments out to the fuhrer, she's happy to wait longer, might get a cheap carpet to chuck over it and roll up when not in use..

Assuming that the floor is level what would adding the self leveling achieve?
