I was thinking the other day ( bad idea - I know!) how vital the role of rhythm is to a really nice TIG weld. Does anyone use a mental dialogue to help them maintain a good rhythm?
Some thing like; circle, dip, move repeated, in the same beat as eg. cha cha cha as they're welding?
If so; what words do you use to to give the correct beat timings, 3/4 or 4/4 etc.?
I sometimes use a similar method when doing a lot of repetitive cutting and pasting tasks on the computer and for keeping time when playing the bass or guitar. It works really well!
