For me there are two ways of looking at it:
The machine is not for commercial gain and I don't currently TIG weld.
Buy on a budget and struggle to move the machine on for anywhere near my initial investment if I don't get on too well with the process?
OR
Buy the best I can afford/top end. I can't blame the machine if I don't perform/get results and should I wish to then dispose of the machine it's most probably in higher demand so should retain more value??
A good friend told me: Buy once, buy right. Buy cheap, buy twice!
