Just a thought but has it got a base current control as well as the normal peak current control? Maybe that is set too high if there is one? My understanding of how it works is base current control sets the start current i.e on a transformer machine that would be contactor closed, and the main current control sets the peak current so the footpedal takes up the difference between the two. i.e base current set at say, 50A and peak set at 150A so footpedal at 50% would be 100A. Like the low, med and high ranges on my dialarc. Or is that wrong?
Hi EVguru. I have the same machine. Have you been able to achieve good welds especially on thin materials?
