I don't bother about colours cos it gets polished anyway but heres some of mine 10mm to 3mm

It states that it has to be as welded ..... so the stain needs to be left on so no wire brushing this is why i want to get both penetration and colours as a black coaked just dosent look good at all thanks for the help guys i will keep practising.

I have to say mate if this is the standard of competition nowadays to judge welders by, there's going to be a lot of failed welds over the coming years
