Tig Problem

Mods please do NOT move this into a machine specific thread - nobody sees it then!
Just looking for some suggestions.

My Tig just stopped working. Weld suddenly went sooty as if it ran out of gas.
Now I get nothing at the torch. No gas or arc.
Machine is powering up fine.
Half a bottle of gas.
Checked the 2 pin plug on the torch with a multimeter - continuity every time I press the trigger.

Could it be the gas solenoid? Would that also stop the torch from having an arc?

I have tried various setting nothing. Machine looks and sounds normal.

I haven't stripped it down yet.
It appears to be running fine making all it's usual noises just nothing happens when you pull the trigger. No spark no gas.
