Today I went to a factory in Dunstable that specialise in the manufacture of gimbals, flexible metal tube and various other bendy fittings for the space, aerospace and military aviation industries. Some of the shapes and geometries, not to mention that they were working with paper thin S/S, inconel and Titanium the hand applied welding was just flippin awesome, real welding porn. I'm no welder but I've spent enough time in other peoples factories to know what's good and what isn't.
The best bit is that this company is the best in the world at doing what they do, despite the fact that they were flattened in the Buncefield explosion a few years ago, in fact so good that they have a such a strong order book to justify moving into bigger premises and employ more people.
I have photos of THIER work but due to security agreements I'm not allowed to upload here
