TIG not working on AC

Yes between us we worked out it could only be in one of two places, because when the HF was on there was only two things that made a sound. I think you may be right about it being sealed as i cant see where else it would be. There was a box at the back of the machine about the size of two match box's, there were only a couple of wires going to it and it was sealed.

Maybe you need to be welding on ac so there is continuous HF running while the spotter has a look and a listen for the unit.

Apart from that, pics will be needed.

If I get a chance I will take a pic of mine ! in Cebora Tig Uno , I cleaned them up and its been fine , got a bit of alli to weld tommorow so I will open up and post the pics up

Soz I havnt put any pics up yet, didn't get a chance to open up the machine on fri. It's defo a sealed unit on that TIG tho, so don't think it can be fixed?! Can a new HF unit be put into it?

Not the same , its a tig uno ! I will get into it as soon as I can an d show you where my HF bits are and whayt they look like !

That will be great thanks! Think with it being sealed our tig at work will have to be sent off to repair that HF. Its our only TIG machine at work, keep saying we need a new one, an inverter would do nicely lol!

Are they encased, or open? If they are open no wonder they stop working, with all the grinding dust been sucked through the machine.

They are open , I had to clean them once to get them to arc again !
