Dont ask me how i managed this, but i did -
Part welded a mild steel door frame (non critical part) with stainless filler wire yesterday.
The whole thing is due for hot dip galvanising.
How much have i screwed up?
The plan was to go over the job with mig anyway - the tig was really just supposed to be for tacking up, but i got a bit carried away on one bit.
So, yeah, if i mig over the top, i assume that will make the zinc stick ok, but how much will the weld be compromised? Again its just a door frame, not a nuclear reactor, and its not really supporting much.
