Hi guys !
I own a Castotig 2002 AC/DC.
A working one ... (private joke) ...
Recently I bought another 2002 AC/DC with problems (for parts or to be repaired one day).
It came with an original Castolin cooler (designed to fit the bottom of the welder ).
This cooler seems in working order (pump and fan run, but I did not check the flow and pressure yet).
So I wonder if I need a cooler (and then the dedicated water-cooled torch) for the works I would do :
- Steel, max 4-5 mm, like roll cage for cars, winch supports, ....
- Stainless steel, max 3 mm, don't know yet
- Aluminium, max 4-5 mm, fuel tank, catch tank, seat frame, ...
Most of my future works won't lead to long beads (I think 50 cm then stop/restart).
I don't have a water-cooled torch yet (I missed one at a good price but was not sure to get the cooler at that time).
What (dis)advantages would I earn ?
Thanks for your opinions !
