TIG amp guide?

im after a tig welding guide chart. somthing like...

material thickness ......= amps and a .... tungsten gas flow...

im after one for stainless and aluminium

That's the only one I'm aware of on the net. Do bear in mind it's aimed at professional welders who might work at a high travel speed.

DIY welders might want to knock 30% off the amp settings and work at their own pace.

that miller sigh is good but im after one for 1mm stuff?

also gas flow i do LPM so i dont know CFH? anyone know of a conversion?

1 Lpm = 2.12 Cfh

im also trying to weld some 1/4inch steel tubing. has a wall thickness of about 0.5-1mm

what amps should i use?

If the calculator gives flow in CFH, then divide by 2.12 to get LPM.

I tried that Miller guide, would like to meet someone who butt welds 16swg ali at 65-75 amps! Reckon they must fit, I'd be running down the bench at that juice! W/A

I always found the miller guide a bit high 200+ amps for 6mm, i run my fusion at about 150-160amps for 6mm and it does a lovely job, and it quick enough for me
