My problem when i started with aluminum wasEvening . . . haven't had the opportunity to reset and try again . . . however spent a few minutes tonight, 75 amps, 120Hz, 30% balance (which I guess means 30% EP), same material (2mm aluminium sheet) with a 1.6mm zirconated, sharp, tungsten, starts every time, tungsten stays sharp some slope up certainly helps get the rod in the pool to start with.

You don't half have to feed the rod in fast with Alu tho' . . . I'll have to twist the ones I have together in pairs at the rate it consumes them ;-) . . . left hand isn't up to that rate yet . . .
