I'm struggling to understand the weither I can do something in regards to the new tiers and implications. So I'd thought I'd ask you ?

I want to travel from North wales to Bolton (in tier 3 ) to pick something up thats for sale, am I allowed to do this? I'm just confused. Thanks in advance

With all due respect it is not even slightly confusing, the whole of Wales is in Alert 4 which is basically the same as full lock down.

We've had issues in Herefordshire because people have been travelling here to shop and got to pubs because we are Tier 1. We've now had a bit of a spike and we are going Tier 2

That's the official stuff but it's a choice you have to make, obviously there is a risk of a fine and with less traffic on the roads you could be easy pickings. If you do decide to go I would say make sure you have enough fuel to go there and back and limit your interaction. You are just asking for trouble if you have to stop for fuel or lunch.

I heard the police were stopping cars in Queensferry a few days ago.

"Police officers will be stopping cars and checking why people are travelling over the Christmas period.
North Wales Police said "high-visibility" patrols will continue during the festive break, with people being stopped and asked to account for why they are out and about."

If you have a child under 12months you can have an unlimited amount of people from another family to visit as a 'support bubble' , these can cross from a tier 4 to any other tier, this new law brought in 2nd Dec, hidden amongst a few other changes, not sure If it affects anyone in public office who may have been blessed with a newborn this year..

I went to Winchester on Tuesday. It was essential as they shut on Wednesday. I never got out of my truck till I got there. Weed in a posh container (good enough for hospital use) when i got there ilet the workers do their job (as they could not work from home.
I then decided my eyesight was fine so I drove back......can't see any problem with that.
Had I been stopped I would have self identified as a Cummings...

Went to the in-laws to drop off / pick up presents Weds evening. (Us and them are Tier 2). MIL didn’t know if I was allowed in or not, so I said I would wait in the van whilst the kids were in there. The kids who have been in contact with at least 30 other kids each day .
Then they are in a bubble with Wife niece and her daughter . Niece is a social worker who is in contact with all sorts most days .
I very rarely see anyone so I’m probably the safest person they could come into contact with and I wasn’t allowed in
