Was just thinking about that part of that film the other day. In the workshop doing something, and my mind went off on a completely unrelated tangent to that Delorean scene. What I want to know is: they know which minute the clock stopped at, but how did they know the second?

I love thunderstorms.........I could easily become a chaser if I was in the USA..........maybe I havent seen one bad enough to scare the s*** out of me.

I was on a trip to Orlando Florida about 20 years ago and out of all the things I saw when I was there like Disneyland, Universal Studios and Cape Canaveral one of the best things was the thunderstorm I witnessed from our apartment building. The rest of the family were hiding in the apartment, I was stood outside on the balcony, beer in hand enjoying the show. It went on for 3 hours with a very high strike rate.

I was up in the mountains on a big American interstate road (I-75). Raining hard, traffic stopped on the road, everyone sitting there for about 10 minutes. A big lightning bolt hit about 50 yards away, seemed like it. It was a pretty pink and looked to be about 1 meter across. I said heck with this I rather take my chances with driving. I was the only one to leave.

I had a similar experience whilst driving in Florida like Turbo it was about 20 years ago, first night there heavy rain and thunderstorm as I was driving there was a strike which seemed very close to the car and you could smell the ozone.
Had a big storm on Tuesday afternoon, lost power for a short period, blew a fuse, tripped a breaker and fried a Belkin surge protector but all electrical items survived except for 5 led lamps which weren't even on at the time.

There's a tree in my village known as "lighting tree", it's split wide open and was supposedly struck about 20 years ago. I doubt it but I hope it's true.

I know of someone who was killed by lightening, somehow that still doesn't put me off of going outside in a thunderstorm. A Neighbour has a flagpole, I look forward to the day when that gets welded by the sky.

What do you think to attaching a few lengths of scaffold pole end to end and sticking it in the air? I'm gonna catch me some lightening one way or another.

I was in a club in the algarve on a rally many years ago and an off shore storm hit, the club was on the top of the cliff face and had massive windows looking out to sea, they switched off the disco lights and played music with just the lightening crashing into the sea and the sea seemingly exploding, it was a fantastic natural lighting display.

the lad must have a death wish. i did a callout to a house strike. the lightening struck the garage metal window tracked down the wall then through a metal framed seat across the floor leaving a big carbon burn mark across the concrete, then on to the frezer leaving a weld burn mark .melted the freezer flex back to the db and trashed most of the appliances do u realy want to atract it
