Threaded Bar Failure

One other thing, im pulling the steel bars out of oak, so im guessing that the oak will fail first, but say it was the bar that failed, would it be due to yeilding or stripping of the thread? Is there any way to tell which would occurs first? sorry about all of the questions I am new to this
