If the threads are still in the hole maybe you could try an epoxy based thread repair kit....I saw one somewhere that looked interesting where you stick a release agent on the bolt, fill the hole then screw the bolt into the hole. Once it's gone off you can unscrew the bolt. Never tried it myself...not had the problem to solve yet!
I did once make a new lug for a water pump out of those low temp aluminium brazing rods and a steel former....thats still going strong which is very impressive really. You can also form threads with the rods as they don't stick to steel bolts.....but I don't think it's the right solution to this particular problem.
