Thread checkers on Temu

If you tinker with old kit especially if it’s crossover period with a mix of imperial and metric it can sometimes be a pain working out what you have/need. I bought these two from Temu took about a week to arrive and for the money they are very good. The plate one is ideal for sorting that bucket/tub/drawer of “lucky” spares. The individual ones are great it you need to check something on a piece of kit.

I got given a set of thread profiles from my good friend Carsten n Germany , they came in a handy fan design ( a bit like feeler gauges but with teeth ) gauges that show the number of threads over an inch or so , Then use my digital inch /metric caliper to to find the diameters .
Then consult my engineers data book for the thread forms and thread angles etc. found this a lot more accurate especially when turning a thread on the lathe .

As above thread pitch gauges and calipers make more sense especially considering some mismatched threads will screw into eachover and the existance and relatively common use of BSPP, BSF, BSC/WW and B.A.
