I use a 200mm wire wheel on a bench grinder for removing old paint ( often powder coat) and rust etc from steel ( usually) parts prior to re painting. Prices vary between less than £10 to over £40 but my somewhat unscientific assessment seems to be that I don't get proportionaly more use by paying more . But the more expensive ones do shed fewer bristles.
My present one is a Lessman which cost £26 which has lasted quite well and I'm not picking bristles our of the overalls !
