The only thing that would worry me about buying some of the "other" brand tooling is the warranty and replacement issues. We have mobile Snapon and Mac tools vans floating about which change any damaged /worn out tools with no quibbles, Halfords are the same and local, Euro`s do the Sealey gear.Cant see a good reason to go off piste.

Not entirely, I believe he is moving abroad. He may be opening up again in a different country.

I love the Britool for the tractors but these are my go-to for working on my cars. Koken Z series, I caused myself deep financial woes by buying the 1/2 and 1/4 sets because the supplier wasn’t going to stock them anymore!

Nepros is very pretty stuff no question, but I feel Koken is perhaps a bit more practical - for me anyway. Easier to get and cheaper.
I really like all my Koken stuff but haven't got much of the Z series - bit too rich for my old clunkers.

My view is, if it is good quality gear, and you don't abuse it - it shouldn't need warranty or replacement. Warranty cost is built into the tool so you are still paying for it either way.
I've got lots of British vintage tools that work just fine and they would be well out of warranty if the companies were even still around. I'm hoping quality new stuff will last just as long.

I ordered online their adjustable spanner when it had sold out everywhere (I think it was a youtube item had gone viral or some such) I immediately received a response from one of their staff explaining it could take twelve to sixteen weeks for them to catch up, I wrote an excruciatingly polite email in return and eight weeks later received the wrench. My worst news of 2022 (apart from the Coronary episodes) is that Mark is closing down on the 13th of this month over at https://www.onlyqualitytools.com/ and https://www.pbswisstools.co.uk/

I am doing my damnedest to make sure I have plenty of "spares" in stock. It is going to really clip my wings.

I better hurry up and buy that 225 series screwdriver set before he goes!

My Gedore socket set still seems to undo and do up stuff even after 60 years. Agreed it's not as shiny as the modern stuff.
