This Week

I'm in Shetland, Lerwick to be precise and working at Sullom Voe.

Weather is rubbish with 60mph wind gusting at 85mph. Storm is predicted to get worse overnight with waves licking 14 meters, never mind I'm in a top top hotel drinking Tennants (yes I know!) and the best local rum and about to eat some of the finest seafood ever.

Flight home is on Friday morning, but may not happen due to weather.

I can think of worse places to be stuck in!!!!! ( as long as they have plenty of fresh seafood and rum, happy days)

I'm at the opposite end of Scotland and it was wild earlier but suddenly went dead calm, I can pretty much guarantee it'll get wild again in the early hours and wake me up

I'm out in the forties field again this week. It's pretty rough out here, couldn't walk round the port side of the rig during the night, kept getting blown back to where I started from!

Done a bit of work up at flotta, it's lovely in the summer but bleak as owt in the winter!

Only one thing to do at times like that, and that's to settle down and enjoy the hospitality!!

Yeah they burnt them all.

Shetland is a beautiful place.... The roads are a motorbikes dream, and the girls are thin and very pretty. Lucky you.

I'll not be there until June.
