so expect our wood burner to be banned unless it has secondary air or has passed eu guidelines

Hi, I have to say I immediately thought it was Princess Margaret,s death and had to look it up. Apparently she first sent the Email on the day of 9/11 which was leaked over a month later in 2001. In 2002 upon Margaret,s death it was said again about burying the poor railway figures. This time she resigned and took Byers the Transport minister with her. Having said all that it is an unspoken practice in the world of politics and they wonder why they have a poor reputation.

Ive got a wood burner like this one in my living room. I burn pine slabs from the local sawmill, £10 a bundle.
After reading the article, i get a warm fuzzy feeling from upsetting environmentalists as well as the heat from my inefficient, polluting stove, bonus.

For a boiler to be eligible for RHI it does have to pass certain tests, this is the testing of a similar log/pellet boiler to the one I'm negotiating a price on now. Of course they could do a VW during testing

So everyone's fitting wood burners 'cos it's cheaper than gas, really?? only if you can lay your hands on wood cheap or for nowt!! if you have to pay for it it's not cheap & it's dirty as well, I wouldn't buy a woodburner as you can only burn wood, I have 2 multifuel stoves in the 2 front rooms & a multifuel rayburn for cooking & central heating,[ for 40 odd yrs now] people used to beg me to take wood away but not now,we cook on wood but bank up on coal & coke,we have no gas, yes it's comfy even romantic, but we can easily get through a builders bag of wood in a week in winter plus coal.

My stove is multifuel but rarely burn coal, its so expensive, £11.50 a bag!. The sawmill is only 12 miles away and i have a trailer that takes 1 bundle of slabs. For those who dont know slabs are the cuts taken from the outside of the trunks to square them off, so are a byproduct, they are perfect for my stove and are cheap and convenient, £10 a bundle. I keep 2 piles of 2 bundles (4 bundles total) in the garden, 1 pile seasons and the other gets sawn, with roughly 1 bundles worth stored in the shed sawn ready to burn. I use one of these to saw it. 1 bundle, in winter lasts a month with the fire lit all day every day.

The fire doesnt have a back boiler, oil central heating takes care of heating the water and the few radiators downstairs. The price of heating oil tends to be quite volatile, 2 years ago £750 for 1100 liters, this year £400. The more the fire is lit the less central heating oil is burned.

artfull which model are you using on your rayburn ?

ive seen adaptions done to them one failed but another went like a rocket both i do believe failed on the conversion to heat the water system up

hence why my question is being asked

rayburns esse and other systems like them are the only ones except from the regs

The brother in law has just had one fitted under the RHI scheme. It cost £26,000 and I am sure he said it would be paid within 7 years. He can stick anything in it as well. Because he is a farmer it's on a commercial rate and its classed as commercial as he has one radiator in the outhouse the rest are in the house.

The more he burns the more money he makes?
