I kinda like stuff like that! I've never heard of an Axiam whatever it is before though!
I'm intrigued. I like simple functional stuff, & the less frills and complexity tyr better. Think 2cv or Renault4 type basic, rugged, economical, practicality.

One of those looks like it'd make lots of sense for short journeys - just keep the rain off & get you and some shopping or essentials from A to B cheaply, economically & reliably, & easy to maintain/repair.
(OH would hate it, but I'd not mind a bit )

It's a sub 400kg quadricycle in UK terms.
When we were in the EU we were oblidged to accept these as road going vehicles due to the French 'Sans Permis' rule as @Barking Mat said. At least we didn't have to accept their use by unlicenced drivers and 14 year olds!
An additional unacceptable by product is seeing road registered quadbikes

Had a quick Google about the Axiam. Not common here at all, and not exactly bargains either, especially given the er.... performance.
Given that my daily is an 06 Ford Fiesta 1.4tdci van that cist me the princely sum of £500 with 10mths MoT (& just flew through another last week with just a good clean & a headlamp polish beforehand) I reckon this Fiesta is hard to beat (50mpg possible*).

* it's meant to be capable of 60mpg, but the efficiency of my one is compromised by at least one chuffing injector. It also has (I reckon as its revs related not road speed) a noisy gearbox (& 2nd to 3rd isnt the best, even with familiarity).
I had the airbox off yesterday to have a shufti, & there's "black death" in abundance and it looks a swine to get at the injectors properly (a task I've never tried either - pulling injectors)... but the ole crate hasn't missed a beat for 10mths, so I can't compain at all.

Well, it's not broke, but you can't say it's in rude health either .
My choices are run it till it fails, or consider some intervention to hopefully extend its working life & efficiency.
Iits a bit of a lottery as to which course is the better I think.

My wife was once out with mates at the Top Alex in Southend, A Ford Zodiac kept coming past the pub cruising. It was completely covered in electric pink fur. A bunch of them all bought pints of guiness & when he came round again the pink zodiac got guinessed!

That's a 'Sans Permis' in France a 'without a license' car. For when you've lost your license.

Not any more its not :
The driver of a voiture sans permis must:

• Be at least 14 years old
• Not have had their driving licence suspended
