Awesome age!
Awesome age!
My brother just said if it had been our Maisie she would have dragged the cushion into just the right position for fun! She was always up to mischief. Sheba our other one was very aloof and behaved like the queen of ShebaToday my wife was doing stuff in the kitchen, Jack Russel kept running through and circling round her, eventually she followed the dog into the hallway, we have a row of window seats under the windows, on the seats are cushions, there was an acrid smell of burning in the hall which wasn’t immediately obvious where it was coming from.
My wife suspected coals from the metal container which sits on a stone floor in the entrance vestibule, wasn’t that then she noticed some smoke and found the culprit.
A snow globe sitting on the window sill was refracting the sunlight (sometimes we get sunlight in Scotland) onto a cushion which was smouldering away, I think the cover and cushion was made from fireproof material thankfully, it has left a burn mark on the woodwork the cushion was backed up to.
Moral of the story, be careful of glass things sitting on a window sill, thankfully she was at home.

Yea she was 18.5Awesome age!
I think it's because dogs know that perhaps we all meet up again in another life.Yea she was 18.5
And our other we had,
he lived until 17.5,
They had great times together,
Strangely.. when he died she didn't seem to miss him..
Dawgz are cool...!I think it's because dogs know that perhaps we all meet up again in another life.
My dog worshipped my mother. When my mother died at only 56 my dog didn't miss her at all which I was amazed by. My dog died only a few months later. It's as if she new they wouldn't be apart for long.
There is a lot more to this universe than we could ever begin to imagine.
I just get too attached - the pain is too much when they go.Dawgz are cool...!
We've had JR's for 45 years..
Just 4 0f them,
often 2 at once..
The house is quiet now we have none, but on the plus side we dont live our lives around them...
At the moment..

Pawprints on our hearts. Here too, I sit watching TV, and keep looking up expecting to see Sky staring at me from the doorway, to show she wants to go out.
Each morning I look in the front room to say good morning to her.
Her bed is still next to my sofa, a hundred times a night I look down wondering what wierd position she will be in, on the bed she never quite got the hang of.
I don’t miss the smell though. She stunk. Incontinence, and some dermatology problems, and she hated showers with a vengeance…..
