, so what would be a good buy for say painting car/van panels wheels etc. nothing too expensive as this will be more a hobby than a job.
.....cfm is more important than pressure,,,,so more cubic feet per min is good,most air tools /spray guns require 4-8cfm at least,tank size,bigger is better 25litres is small50 or more is better.Motor size 1.5 hp is small 2-3hp is much better,then you have direct connect or belt driven ,belt being considered better by most...I recently bought an aldi special £85 25litre 2hp directconnected compressor,adequate for small jobs,sprayed my lads bike,used it for impact wrench and tyre inflation ,it would struggle painting a van as it would need to run whilst you are spraying,but it may still be possible if you do smaller parts....hope this helps ....Gav
