I used South Wales Metal Finishing in Treorchy in the Rhondda. They just ran the bits over the wire wheel before dipping and stripping, although he was quite put out that I hadn’t cleaned them. I wasn’t aware I had to. Consequently a few nuts are ropey but I’ll prolly get them redone at some point.

Never did update this. Ooops.

Offered up the bodywork and have minor work to get it all mounted solidly but it’s close. Dug out my M4 copy from Aliexpress (£25!) and my £34 momo 17x7 rim from eBay powder coated ready to accept a 200 rear (ideally should be a 210-225 but struggling to find those in bike format….) and got my spare frame and all my modified bits powder coated. Just need to start breaking down the Blade and transferring stuff across. Space still a premium just now however.
I also bought one of those kits for testing for a failed head gasket and whilst it did foam up I’m suspecting that was contamination from low water and alloy components with no water additive rather than a failed gasket. At least it didn’t change colour which is the important bit.
