Think I have the wrong torch insulator.

Hi guys. Hope you can help me.

I've just bought a big has lens consumables kit for my tig.

Not used gas lens before and seem to be having difficulty. The insulator does not seem to fit properly on the torch or the ceramic cup. It's sloppy on the cup. Can I pleSe let the pics do the talking. Hope you can guys.

You use the standard insulator with the addition of the lens insulator like this

I'm lost here. Am I useing the torch backwards? Have I been useing a blackcap insulator as the cup isulator? What the hell is going on here. I don't see any pics online of anyone using a back cap isulator. Is the original insulator I got with my torch a back cap insulator.

Thanks tig Paul that's a big help. I could swear I saw i video online where the insulator was changed. Would that be for the stubby gas lens?

Sorry for my ignorance. I've seen a pic online saying my original insulator is a back cap insulator. The guy was wrong and got a bit of forum abuse. This is what confused the hell out of me. Thought I had been doing it wrong all this time.

Some torches do come with a second insulator for the **** end,they normally are interchangeable with the front
