Just searching the shed for something to put my new tig spares in and came up with this old tin it made me think they just don't package

Here on top of the boiler there's a couple of old tins, Lipton's tea and one for Flexolite lighter fluid capsules which were like bulbs with petrol in for filling cigarette lighters.

one thing that has changed for most people is film for camera's, I used to like the clear 35mm pots as they were good for storing small things in....with the change to digital photography, its probably the only disadvantage of the modern medium, the loss of the storage container.

I have about eleventy million, still shoot at least one roll a week, often more. Currently my youngest uses them as stacking blocks

When I cleared my parents outbuildings after my mother died I had to chuck 50 or 60 Oxo tins with assorted screws, odd nails & such like in. A pity, but they had to go. The only one I've got left is a really old one with a hinged lid & keep drills in it, I have no idea what it dates from.
