Yes - and they aren't too bad if you let them do the work and don't lean on them too hard - for a DIYer/hobby person anyway.

i use the small ones on a 3 inch air sander , they are great at stripping paint and leaving steel , mighty for patching sills.

I buy pretty much the same ones. They work great for rust and paint removal,
Ideally with a variable speed grinder or failing that, a battery grinder that spins a lot slower than corded.

They fly to bits pretty rapid at high speed.

does the colour on these relate to the grade of abrasive or just different brands have their own colours

I'm still on the search for some from my last post. Trouble is I only have a grinder with one speed so probably won't last long.

I have used flap discs for stripping paint off car body panels before with care but still managed to gouge the metal.

Funny you should post these as I almost bought them the other day. In the end I bought an £18 6 disc set that has 3 different grades of coarseness. Arrive tomorrow.

Had a look for some good deals on Amazon as it's Prime Day but really wasn't anything to get excited about.

Not only great for removing paint and rust. I use these primarily for removing millscale.
