I'm looking at a thermalarc 175se, but i thought all their stuff was around the £500 mark, but these are just £215 inc vat, and 2 year warrenty, are they any good ?
The 175se is an MMA (stick) inverter which like pretty much any DC stick welder can be used for scratch or lift TIG. There's no gas solenoid so you need a valved TIG torch to manually switch the gas on/off.
The 175te is a TIG inverter with gas solenoid, slope down control and the choice of HF or lift start. No sign of a post flow control so i'm guessing that's fixed?
