anyone know where i can get prefrably a left hand gun stock for the above or any uk air rifle forums that might help , thanks
thanks the one i just got given is right hand . its nearly new i was also given a new hw77 carbine with silencer free for making a good job of his house rewire with hardly any messTry UK AIRGUNS, if it is an early one, were they not ambidextrous?
the stock is cut away on the right hand side for a righthanded person the left hand side isnt therefore u can not easily reach the trigger only with your fingertip and theres no cheek cutaway eitherWhat's the advantage of a left-handed gun? Surely you can squeeze the trigger with a finger on the 'wrong' hand?![]()

What I meant was - a gun doesn't require the small motor skills of say using a pen - why do you need a left-handed one anyway? Also, what do lefties do when they have to use a gun that ejects the cartridge? Do they have to have the whole workings made left-handed or do they just put up with red hot casings up their nose?
heres a picture of the righ hand stock its totaly useless for left, hand use due to its shape as for bolt action rifles i have a rimfire and had the standard stock carved away on the left to make it easier to reach the trigger with the end of middle finger the bolt action is on the righthand side and isnt a problemWhat I meant was - a gun doesn't require the small motor skills of say using a pen - why do you need a left-handed one anyway? shotgun stocks are cast to the right in order when u hold it up to your chin your face is smack in line with the barrels. a natural position a lefthanded person would have to hunch up and hold the gun further forward to line it up so u get the stock dipped in oil and have cast it to the left which will give a natural line of sight and the stock will fit snug against your shoulderI understand that it would be useless to use on the left shoulder. What I can't fathom is why a leftie can't shoot on the right. I'm right handed but everyone points out that I use a pool/snooker cue like a lefty. I tried right handed and managed just fine (equally poorly in fact) just that I had always played left-handed without even realising. Joe says that you DO use fine motor skills, which I accept, but it's only the one, not a combination of them such as when writing.
What is so hard about shooting a gun on the 'wrong' side?
About all I can say is that I'm extremely right-handed; name an activity and I'm wired to do it much better with my right than my left. It doesn't matter whether it's cutting a steak, casting a fishing rod, swinging a hammer, or shooting a pistol -- I'm much better right-handed. In my case that does include shooting pool, though I haven't done that much so right-handed is pathetic while left-handed is hopeless! What is so hard about shooting a gun on the 'wrong' side?
fraid not i gave the gun to me brotherLong shot but don't suppose you got sorted and have the r/h stock for sale?
