Just heard from a friend that most of the schools have been closed. Unbelievable, no wonder there was no traffic on the roads. I would have used the bike if I had a better driveway so it isn't anything like the apocalypse.
I cleared carefully around the car door this morning so as not to get any snow in the car. Turned on the ignition and the wipers started up and swept the lot onto the driver's seat. Piggin' 'ell.
Top man for owning an Alfa, the question is though, did it start/run in that temperature?
Some years ago I would have liked an Audi TT but the second hand ones were out of my budget at the time, Parkers guide suggested the GTV instead, that's what I bought in the end, lovely car, run it for 7 years, it never actually failed to start or broke down but I kept on top of it,....out of all the vehicles I've owned, I probably spent more time and money working on that one.
Even British people have no idea how far North we really are. London is further north than any city in Canada. Wales is about on the same level as the Hudson bay and the North of Scotland is almost as high up as the tip of Greenland!
You get to mock it. I have to navigate around em.
This time last year it took me 2.5 hours to do the 25 min drive home. Mainly because they kept blocking the roundabouts desperate to get across and sit in anoher queue of traffic.
30mm here today. Only roads that were dodgy his morning were the housing estates due to tires meltg the snow and refreezing.
