they may be the only thing on a land rover that wont rust ,, so really they are a total bargain ,,, wouldnt like to lift the spare onto the back door though.

I often look at tyres on customers cars and think to myself - it is perished - is it bad enough for a new tyre?

Most people if you tell them the tyres on their car are getting old - will buy a new tyre (axle pair or set).

The others will wait till it fails an MOT.

Grant Shapps is pushing for a two year MOT period - because he can't solve the mess that is the NI MOT testing problem.

Mate just took his Merc in for a service - they reported the 2 back tyres were cracking and perished. I had a look and indeed they were. 2 year old Continental sports - 12000 miles. I expected better.

I have nothing against part worns. I have had some real bargains in the past. Don't bother these days as I just have long term rental/lease.
I would rather a part worn leading brand than a ying tong iddle i po any day

Lack of grip gets me bothered

I’d prefer new tyres in date from a decent brand. They keep in you contact with the road after all

I drive like an "old man" - I don't really notice the "grip thing" - wet or dry.

It is the noise I hate from cheap tyres.
