Hello all! I was recommended to this forum by a friend from a woodworking forum, I already recognise some names from there and Instagram.

Wood Machinist and Architectural Joiner by trade, but I dabble in the darks arts of metal in my hobby of rebuilding very sorry examples of woodworking machinery. I own a CVA MK1A Toolroom Lathe and a new-to-me Harrison Vertical Milling Machine. I'm not much of a welder but I do own a Cebora Tigstar, Migatronic, and an old venerable Pickhill arc welder for when I want to make a right sow's ear of anything.

And where from Pembrokeshire do you hail? The land of why-ay or shwmai?

Well, it wasn’t really me that was told off for using the term to begin with, but I did stick up for the guy who used the term in jest and consequently also got a telling off!

I eventually got permanently banned from there, didn’t get along with the new owners.

You may have seen it before, it’s actually the featured example on Lathes.co.uk, I didn’t realise that when I bought it probably about eight years ago now. The previous owner did a pretty good single-phase conversion.

Very bloody nice. As far as the other forum is concerned I am unsurprised, a change of management always brings out the worst in the management team, seen it many, many times now and most of the fora (forumses?)no longer exist.
