My cardio-nurse has put me on some extra medication (didn't think that possible), these are designed for diabetes (don't have yet) but have beneficial effects for heart-failure....they seem to be having some effect. Promising I hope. Forxiga, dapagliflozin. Or in Wales.... Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch

My feet are swelling up badly , it's the amydopaline for blood pressure , told the doctor , she took me off them , went back for a blood test and pressure test , it was high so she put me back on them ( smaller dosage ) and my feet are swollen again , finding it hard to move around , it's not good !

Without seeing my plates of meat beforehand it's hard to show how swollen they are , but my ankles are fat and my toes tingle when I'm walking, cant see the usual veins and tendons ! I'm not happy

Water retension - heart or kidney problems.

Seek medical attention soon - find a decent Doctor.

I just looked at the side effects of that drug, any drug that makes the whites of your eyes yellow is not going in my body damages the liver.

I have a lady friend who has AF, and has had a heart valve replaced. She is on Warfarin and has to get her bloods tested every week and the dose adjusted on a weekly basis. It seems a very crude way of doing it.

Anyway, her whole body below the waist is an awful bloated squishy looking mess, (I've seen her with shorts on) something to do with water retention from the various meds she is on.

I was fine 6 months ago , went in for "well man clinic" now I'm popping pills and can't walk , wish I'd never gone In !

This is what happens mate...the cure becomes worse than the ailment. As been said there are plenty of other drugs for blood pressure,the best being plenty of exercise and proper food

Takes a few trys to get in to my doctors , receptionist is as hard as nails , if your not on your death bed you ain't getting in !

Just tell her youll need a house call, as your so swollen you cant walk, youll have an appointment that day

4 months ago mine would not drop below 150/90, but losing 2 stone, eating less garbage, exercising more, cutting down my booze (a bit...) and it now tests at 125/70 most days.

The hardest part of it all is making sure I keep at the health regimen. My self control is not the greatest......

House call - do they do still do them?

My 90+ year old Mother can't get a GP on her premises...

Mother still got her wit about her - she reckons the next time she will see a GP - "will be when the Asian bint is writing her death certificate" - (Mothers words not mine).
